What to Expect

🖊️ Personal Reflection Time

Take a moment to reflect on the past year and write a letter to your future self. Our goal is that this will give you a unique opportunity to reflect and be an encouragement to your future self when we deliver it to you a year from now. 

🖼️ Photo Shoot Challenge

Everyone will be split up into teams for our Photo Shoot Challenges—a series of creative photo challenges that will have you laughing as we compete for the title of Best Team Photographer!

📖 Devotional

We'll take a moment to explore God’s Word and prepare our hearts, as we're striving to grow into the men and women God is calling us to be in 2025.

🍽️ Snacks

Yes, there will be snacks! You now have no reason not to join us. 😏

Event Timeline

• 7:00 PM: Doors open—mingle, grab food, and find your seat.

• 7:20 PM: Official welcome, opening prayer, and devotional.

• 7:40 PM: Personal reflection time (letter to your future self writing).

• 8:00 PM: Mini break—get snacks and fix your hair for the photo challenge.

• 8:05 PM: Group discussion time.

• 8:20 PM: Photo booth challenge begins! Team up, complete the missions, and capture your best shots.

• 9:15 PM: Submit your team’s best photos for judging.

What to Bring

• Your formal black-tie attire.

What is Hillside All About?

The mission of every Hillside event is to create opportunities for intersections and meaningful conversations with other young people.

Hillside is a great way to make some new friends or do something fun with your current friends. It is a great opportunity to grow and be challenged to become more like Jesus.

We always have an activity & then a devotional and discussion time. During the devotional time, we'll share truths from the Bible, and focus on how we can apply them to our everyday lives. Afterward, we split up into small groups and discuss some conversation questions about the devotional topic. This is a great opportunity to learn, share, and encourage our peers as we are striving to live more like Christ daily—not alone, but together.
